This year Wood Creek Elementary School's Lego Club introduced students in grades 3-5 to Robotics! The Hackbots (Farmington Public Schools' United Robotics Team for 9th - 12th grade students consisting of members from Farmington High School, North Farmington High School, and Farmington Central High School) partnered with our students for 4 weeks to introduce them to the world of robotics. Together students built solar powered robots and designed unique Lego creations to go with the robots. Thank you to the parent volunteers for sponsoring this club & a HUGE thank you to the Hackbots!

We are so proud of our incredible teachers who continue to redefine what meaningful learning looks like every single day! ✨ During the Authentic Learning Showcase, our 2nd and 4th grade teachers shared how they are creating engaging, real-world learning experiences that empower our students to think critically, collaborate, and make an impact.
A special shout-out to our 4th grade team and their students for earning the Most Impactful award for their project focused on developing creative ideas to help keep our school safe. What an amazing accomplishment!
This is exactly what #AuthenticLearning is all about: student voice, innovation, and learning that truly matters.
